Epic Travel Staffing is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Travel Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Emergency Department (ED) . This is your chance to make a difference while exploring the beautiful city of Danville, Virginia during a 13-week travel assignment!

Job Overview

As a Travel Nurse in the ED, you will provide skilled nursing services during night shifts, managing a patient load in a dynamic 31-bed emergency department. Your expertise will be crucial in handling a variety of cases, including behavioral health, while utilizing MedHost and Meditech electronic health records systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Specialty: ED - Emergency Department
• Discipline: RN
• Start Date: 09/09/2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Employment Type: Travel

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Virginia Nursing License
• 5+ years of ED experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS or ENPC
• Extensive Emergency Room experience is preferred

Working Conditions

• EHR Systems: Primarily MedHost and Meditech
• Facility Size: 31 beds with 2 triage rooms; 7 beds for behavioral health or acute patients
• Patient Ratios: 1:4, with exceptions during high-volume days
• Travel Requirement: Must be 60 miles or greater from your permanent address (locals accepted)
