Position: Senior Data Modeler/Data Architect + Big Data/Hadoop
Contract Duration: 6+ Months CTH
Eligibility: GC and USC only
The Data Architect will be a key member of the Digital Insights & Architecture team within Data Services. This highly technical, hands-on role involves leading the design, implementation, and support of data architecture deliverables across multiple projects involving data integration, management, warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics. The goal is to develop a robust, scalable, and highly available data environment that meets current and future business needs. The candidate should demonstrate both business acumen and technological expertise through data analysis, logical and physical data modeling, DDL review, and consultation. Providing thought leadership and mentorship, the architect will promote best practices and innovative data solutions.
Responsibilities include improving data systems through pragmatic recommendations, adopting new paradigms, and enabling data discovery, scalable infrastructure, and real-time analytics. The role requires balancing hands-on development with strategic planning and collaborating with data/solution architects, analysts, DBAs, product managers, and development teams to define requirements and design solutions aligned with the organizations digital strategy.
