Job Title: Electronics Technician IIILocation: Columbus IN - Onsite Schedule: Monday to Friday, Flexible hours between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support Controls Lab operations at Cummins. This technician will play a hands-on role in the troubleshooting, configuration, and support of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems and lab equipment. The position involves completing technical work orders, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring all lab systems operate efficiently and reliably. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and complete work orders related to test system setup and maintenanceSupport hardware setup and system configuration for HIL test environmentsTroubleshoot and resolve test equipment software and hardware issuesPerform setup changes for test benches and systems as requiredInstall and configure support software tools such as CyberApps, LUIS, and related sequencesModify wiring harnesses to integrate sensors, instruments, and engine components (e.g., IAT, EGR, VGT)Document hardware configurations including serial numbers, hardware types, and system load drawersMaintain CAN panel and actuator cart configurationsConduct system calibration, scheduled maintenance, and harness checkoutsAssist in development of custom test equipment and documentationProvide general lab support including equipment organization and follow-up on hardware returnsSupport training material updates and troubleshooting guide contributionsParticipate in lab inventory upkeep, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with hardware engineers and technical teams on project support needs Top Skills Required: Knowledge of electronic circuitsSystem troubleshooting experienceFamiliarity with electronic tools and data measurement systems Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a technician or technical support roleStrong hands-on experience with electronic systems and lab testing environmentsAbility to interpret and execute test setup requirementsExcellent problem-solving and documentation skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
